I was browsing a few forums over the weekend and noticed many people asked how to look at the raw file (Nikon NEF) in Windows 7. I would like to share that with you.
At Microsoft Photorgraphy website (http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downloads/codecs.aspx), there are links to various major camera manufacture's support site listing a program you can download and install.
For Nikon, go to: http://www.nikonimglib.com/nefcodec/ and download the latest nef codec. After you install it, reboot your computer. This will allow you to look at Nikon NEF raw images in the Windows 7 explorer folder structure.
Another added bonus information I've came across recently is Adobe Lightroom Preset. You can download 120+ free preset here (http://www.ononesoftware.com/detail.php?prodLine_id=33).
